Butyl Glycol Acetate, also known as 2-butoxyethyl acetate, is also called ethylene glycol butyl ether acetate and 2-butoxyethanol acetate. It can be mixed with many common organic solvents such as slightly soluble ancal alcohols, ketones, aldehydes, ethers, glycols and glycol ethers.
Butyl glycol acetate, with this solvent and low ripple feature, is used in many industries. Butyl Glycol Acetate also has applications in the printing industry that are a component of flexographic, gravure and screen printing inks. This is because the evaporation rate of butyl glycol acetate, which makes it ideal for use in these special printing inks, is slow.
